As far as unreal adventures go, this is up there. Soar head-first along an iconic North Wales quarry at 100mph on the world’s fastest zip line alongside up to 3 other people. Feel the pure freedom and exhilaration of flight across a mile-long zip line, whilst feeling totally safe in the hands of the fantastic team.
Booking options
Velocity single zipline experience for an adult or a child. Deposit is £25 to secure the place, then the charity cover the cost once you fundraise the minimum donation of £300, which is payable to your nominated charity 8 weeks before the challenge.
Velocity group of 4 zipline experience for an adult or a child. Deposit is £50 to secure the group booking for 4 places, then the charity cover the cost once you fundraise the minimum donation of £1000, which is payable to your nominated charity 8 weeks before the challenge.

WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE DAY
Check-in
The first step of any Zip World adventure; arrive half an hour before your start-time to check-in at reception, if you’ve already signed your waiver then great, your check-in process will be as fast as the zip line you’re about to do!
Kit-up
Once checked-in, you’ll be called through to the kit-up area with the rest of your group (which will be up to 24 people). Here a few members of our team will kick things off with a safety briefing, followed by kitting you into your harness. Alongside your harness, you’ll also get a helmet and a pair of goggles. This process is entirely instructor-led, and your harness will be double checked.
Little zip
Once kitted-up, you and your group will take a short walk over to the top of the little zip. This first zip line will allow you to get a feel for the adventure and prepare you for what’s ahead! Again, this is entirely instructor-led, so all you need to do is listen to what they say and follow their lead. This zip line reaches speeds of around 30-40mph, and features 4 parallel lines.
Truck ride
Once you’ve touched-down at the end of the little zip, you’ll all hop inside one of our iconic red ex-army trucks, which will take you along the 3km mountain track to the very top of the big zip! This ride is bumpy as you’d expect, which just adds to the fun, and is a great little added extra to your experience! This journey will take around 15 minutes.
Big zip
At the top of the mountain, you’ll get the chance to soak up the out-of-this-world Eryri views, before heading into the cosy Skyline building (with a roaring log burner for the colder winter months of course!) for your final safety briefing and to take-on the famous Velocity zip line! Just like every other step of the journey, this is instructor-led, so you don’t need to worry about a thing. You’ll be soaring along the quarry at up to 100mph+ before you know it!
De-kit
Once you’ve touched down roughly 50 seconds later, having just flown a mile at up to 100mph+, you’ll have a short walk back to the reception building, where you will follow signs to the de-kit area. Here, a member of our team will take your harness off for you, and you will get the chance to view and purchase your headcam footage. Anyone who has pre-purchased will also receive their footage here.

Before booking this adventure, please carefully review the following restrictions to ensure you and your party meet the minimum participation requirements.
Supervision for under 18’s
1 participating adult 18 yrs+ is required for every 3 children <18 yrs
Min Height
A minimum height of 1.2m is required for this adventure
Max Weight
Participants must weigh a maximum of 130kg to take part in this adventure
FAQS
What should I wear? You will need to wear warm comfortable clothing suitable to the weather on the day, with walking boots or trainers.When should I arrive? You need to arrive on site ready to check in for the experience 30 minutes prior to your adventure start date.How long will it take to complete? The Velocity experience takes around 2 hours to complete from start to finish.
On payment of the deposit we will contact your chosen charity to let them know you are supporting them.
Once you have raised the minimum donation the charity will cover the cost of the challenge, and they then keep the remaining donation to benefit their charity.
When you book using our fundraising funding option you agree to raise the minimum of £300 per person (single place) or £1000 for the group of 4 booking, in sponsorship for your charity. You agree to send sponsorship money to the charity as you raise it. 100% of the minimum sponsorship required must be sent to the charity no later than eight weeks prior to the challenge. We then invoice the charity for the cost, this means that the charity receives over 50% in profit from the minimum donation.
